080911 Engagement

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim,

Alhamdulillah, i dah selamat menjadi tunangan orang. And I know a lot of people rasa terkilan+kecil hari because I didnt tell or invite them to my engagement ceremony. Truth to be told is, I was scared. Really, I was scared because of so many things. Yang paling jelas adalah, I'm scared that majlis yang di rancang tak menjadi, or something happen along the way, so many things been running on my mind that time. So I decided to just be quiet regarding the whole arrangement except for a few of my close friends yang i dah bagitau awal-awal just because i love them the most :)

The planning was pihak lelaki nak datang merisik, JUST MERISIK. And then when i heard that bukan seorang dua yang nak datang, in fact maybe 20 people nak datang, i rasa pelik la, because kalau merisik, mestilah 2-3 orang je mewakili family yg datang. and because of that, majlis merisik, jadi majlis bertunang. Preparation was done 2 months before the ceremony. Money is a big issue here. Because i'm not rich and because i dont know where to start. Perancangannya just nak hias bilik and sarung cincin dalam bilik. Tapi disebabkan request dari pihak lelaki yang lelaki pon harus di sarungkan cincin (adat kelantan), so we decided to make a simple dais. The other problem was I have nothing to wear for the majlis. So, kena la pula sewa baju sebab nk tempah baju memang tak sempat (since everyone sibuk nak tempah baju raya). Lastly, hantaran, yang semestinya i kena upah orang buat sebab i dont have time and im not that creative dan penyabar nak buat hantaran.

The hunt for all the listed item above, begin with facebook. Cari mak andam yang berdekatan dengan rumah, and akhirnya jumpa. Make a phone call and on the very weekend, balik kampung to discuss about it. I want to wear champagne/cream color for the ceremony. Walaupun mak andam tu cakap color tu tak sesuai sebab I'm fair (well according to her) nanti i akan tenggelam dalam color tu (you got what i mean tak? T_T) tapi sebagai insan yang degil, nak jugak pakai color tu. And I also asked her help untuk buatkan hantaran. After so much bargaining on both sides, here is the breakdown list of what i have to pay:

Make-up + sepasang baju (lelaki dan perempuan) = RM400
Dais ( very simple dais according to her)               = RM300
Hantaran ( 9 dulang)                                               = RM400
Total                                                                        = RM1100

well honesty when i beritahu my friends about the price, semua orang cakap, MURAHNYA tapi CANTIK KE TAK hasilnya? Takut bila dengar, tapi I redha and i percaya dan hasilnya adalah

Alhamdulillah, it turned out to be awesome ( at least for me). the above photos is the raw version and non-edited.  Tarikh yang di propose adalah June 2012. Orang cakap bertunang ni banyak dugaannya. Insya-allah, I'll try my best to make sure akan lebih bertolak ansur, belajar menghormati bakal suami, dan yang penting; sabar. 1 word with thousands meanings.
